I want to emphasize that #Godot is a wonderful gift to humanity. Not only is it a highly competent leightweight 2D and 3D engine, with it being open source you can inspect, learn from, and get inspired by its code. It's easier than ever to roll your own hobby engine since when in doubt you can just check how this production ready engine does things.Godot's architecture seems quite sound and well organized from what I can tell so it sets a good example.

@_elena There's something about its Twitter spin-off history that makes it earlier to migrate for some. So, news and politics on the left and centre are slowly appearing. I've found more people to follow there, but the engagement is awful, and it's less friendly (the rage of Twitter is still alive - I find myself ranting there a lot). I have learnt over time that they are too company-focused for it to really change the social internet, though.

@GrapheneOS I tried doing some searching online and I couldnt determine if Pixels have open source firmware? Idk how realistic to hope that these collab devices will have at least source available firmware. Also, do you know what the expected EOL timeframe for these new devices will be? Can we expect something on par to the Pixel 8? With advancements in hardware security (eg. the development of MTE) is it even worth holding onto a phone for a 7 year lifespan?
