A quick welcome to #BlueSky leavers, it's lovely to have you here. I hope you enjoy a non-billionaire-curated, no-algorithm, chronological feed of the people you actually follow (and what they boost).
If you have questions, feel free to ask people. We're generally pretty nice about helping new folk to adjust to things here.
Quick primer: CW your posts about politics, traumatic things, and so on.
Use alt-text; many of us will not boost a post that does not have it. Accessibility matters.
Use and follow hashtags.
And post an #introduction. It helps a lot for others to grant your follow request if you have a profile, a PFP, and an introduction (which you can periodically update as it changes).
If you're Black, be aware there are many, many white folk here with good intentions, who have NOT DONE THE WORK. My friend @Impossible_PhD says in these cases, BRAVO:
Block; Report; And Vibe On.
If an instance admin does not respond or responds badly, inform your own instance's admins, and let them deal with it appropriately.

@alex_p_roe @NIGHTEN I've seen this happen with some very old flatbed scanners, but in this case it looks like forced obsolescence. I have troubles believing that they couldn't support the older tablets on the new OS.

@NIGHTEN @oblomov That old tech no longer plays well with old tech is becoming more common nowadays. It is to be expected to an extent - you should always ask yourself “Will my [device/app] work with the new PC/Mac I want to get?” If not, be ready for spend more!

1. oVirt is used as the base for various public cloud infrastructure and is currently in EL10. The main project site has updates from September:

2. GlusterFS was not "killed by IBM". Development efforts (irrespective to IBM owning Redhat) were stagnating two or three years ago for a variety of reasons.
The primary reason from a storage architecture view is that GlusterFS performance is outclassed, its scalability is limited to small footprints, and its usage/popularity (while it exists) is minimal compared to alternative clustered file-systems which have shaped the landscape over the past 5+ years (there's probably a blog post somewhere with discussions).

All of that aside, IBM is vastly innovative and consistently amazing, so what's the point in dredging up displeasure or hatred for Big Blue?
