This year at @fosdem, I'm giving a speech about videogames, translations and language barriers.
More specifically, I'll talk about how translations in @Luanti work and how my Luanti server @aes benefits from it: how, thanks to @Codeberg staff, our translation pipeline spiked once we migrated to @weblate and how we now feature 14 different languages. See you there!

@matz Germania: dal tempo del COVID, abbiamo un biglietto mensile valido su tutti i mezzi pubblici in tutta la Germania, esclusi treni intercity.
Include i mezzi pubblici di tutte le città.
Da quest'anno costa 62€ al mese. Non è poco, ma poi smetti di preoccuparti di biglietti e tariffe.

It's interesting how much of a difference the interface (client) for some service can make.
Before discovering @MonaApp I rarely used Mastodon just because I hated its web UI. These days I often use Mastodon a bit more than Bluesky mostly because I like desktop apps a bit more than pinned browser windows (or whatever).
Same with some IM apps - I used FB's Messenger a lot (don't judge me too hard, it's super popular in Bulgaria) until they killed its desktop app recently. But I'm old-school and prefer to do my typing on a real keyboard instead of a touch screen.
