To summarize @CIO's talk: LibreOffice's rollout is done. Currently migrating away from Ms Exchange and Outlook to Open-Xchange, should be done end of the month. Linux desktops are already in use. They're also actively funding opensource orgs #opensource #ocslux

I did get a chance to listen to the excellent Omar Moshine, the Open Source Coordinator at the UN. 🔥 The UN strives to use open source solutions by default and does a lot of gov advocacy.

The EDIC is a collective of EU member states that work together on Digital Commons, like the #opensource workspace alternatives (MijnBureau, Opendesk, LaSuite) that we're all building. #osclux

Also, it seems to me like they have very little to do with open source stuff, and the three existing ones are focused on a) LLMs b) 'Digital Twins' and c) Crypto.
To be clear, it might be that I've misunderstood things, but that to me doesn't sound like something I'd want to advocate for joining, necessarily.

@pettter It started out as a network and just got established as an organisation. There's EDICs on all sorts of topics. This one is specifically for Open Source Digital Commons (such as workspace software, code platforms etc), any open source solutions that we can collaborate on at a European level.

@game al di là del fatto che eseguire ordini di blocco immediati senza un controllo giudiziario preventivo è una follia giuridica e un precursore della censura, il blocco selettivo di contenuti tramite DNS pubblico (1.1.1.1) è un incubo da applicare senza compromettere il funzionamento del servizio. Inoltre gli ordini di blocco rapidi e automatizzati, generano l’oscuramento involontario di siti e servizi perfettamente legittimi.
Insomma non è impossibile, ma è insostenibile

In realtà non ha dato nessuna opinione tecnica, ha solo detto "non si può fare", aggiungendo analogie vaghe sul togliere la corrente a un'intera città per punire un illecito.Analogie più calzanti sono le blacklist di indirizzi IP da cui parte spam email (che vengono bloccati impietosamente fregandosene degli usi legittimi) e la moderazione di contenuti sulle piattaforme (i video dei gol vengono rimossi da X immediatamente).
È successo in passato che Piracy Shield spegnesse servizi come Google Drive, per cui è evidente che l'Italia deve smettere di usare questo strumento.
Ma io non ho ancora capito il motivo contingente che a impedito a Cloudflare di intervenire in questo specifico caso. Forse me lo sono perso io.
