🎉 Finally federated!
After a truly ridiculous amount of stubbornness, debugging, and duct-taping containers together, my Ghost blog is now fully ActivityPub enabled.

@_elena yep, to get to v6 I had to migrate the database from mariadb and move from CLI-managed install to docker, fun times! 😂 I'm actually quite glad now because everything else I host is docker, so Ghost was the odd one out really 😊 Now they've brought out 6.8.1 I see, so I suppose that's my next job 😂@laura@blog.laurahargreaves.com

@elettrona eh, infatti Elena. Sarebbe anche bello eh, umanamente, ma non ce la faccio proprio, né per il tempo che serve per gestire tutto, moderare, eccetera, che per ragioni proprio di soldi. Ci vorrebbe tanto tanto spazio su un'istanza PeerTube per consentire agli iscritti (quanti, poi?) di caricare i loro video.
Senza questa possibilità, anche l'iscrizione perde di significato, su PeerTube. Perché dovrebbero farlo?
Ti capisco, avrete anche voi il vostro bel daffare.

Spam, problemi legali, casino... Io personalmente ho la newsletter (che spero di far partire in modo più decente quest'anno). Ma quelle le gestisce Buttondown. Però avere iscrizioni aperte in un'istanza fediverso personale, lo trovo uno sforzo inutile a meno che non si abbiano dei progetti veramente importanti - come i Devol che sono un gruppo di volontari. Ma che uno da solo si metta tutti quei costi sulle spalle, anche no.
Io ora sto vedendo se posso mettere una istanza mastodon sul mio. Ma al massimo ci giro io, Gifter (Alessandro) e stiamo valutando anche l'idea di inserire il personaggio del virus senziente, che ovviamente gestiremmo noi.
