    Mozilla's core value proposition was trust. They weren't Google. They weren't going to sell you out. They even listened to feedback sometimes. Now their destroying all that is left of that value by going all in on adtech and the A.I. bubble for a short term cash grab. But the A.I. cash will dry up and the trust will stay gone. And who's gonna pay for a V.P.N. subscription, email forwarding service or any other "privacy" add-on run by a company they've learned not to trust?#mozilla #firefox #AI

L’azienda ha riconosciuto che una delle #vulnerabilità scoperte è già utilizzata in #incidenti reali, quindi le #patch sono state rilasciate immediatamente. Il problema principale era il CVE-2025-13223, con severity di 8,8. Si tratta di un #bug che può portare alla corruzione della #memoria.     Maybe we need to update #RTFM. Actual manuals are rare beasts these days. You’re more likely to find the information you need online, whether it’s in the form of PDF datasheets, forum posts or Git gists.It should really be RTFAI, in which the AI isn’t what you think but stands for ‘Available Information’. But that’s a bit of a mouthful, so perhaps just RTFI. Or we could just say ‘Read’, followed (if you feel strongly about it) by FFS. RFFS?#tech #technology #maker #computer #computing

Things like LibreOffice, Gimp, OmniTools, etc.And to be clear, I’m a LaTeX person. I’ve never seriously used that weird thing called Word.#software #computersoftware #enshittification #opensource
