Hello, Fediverse 👋@mkj @sophiekaz Thanks! And welcome, Sophie!

In the past half hour, two things happened that made me raise an eyebrow.@adnan his, unfortunately...

In the past half hour, two things happened that made me raise an eyebrow. In the past half hour, two things happened that made me raise an eyebrow.
The first: a developer, who uses Docker on both a dev and a prod server, asked me to install a huge number of dependencies (on the host) to test a workload. When I hesitated and suggested using a container instead, he replied that this way he "keeps the containers clean, since they’re what run in production, and if the host gets dirty it doesn’t matter, it only has to run the containers".
I tried to explain, but... no, we're not getting anywhere. My brain is short circuiting.
The second will follow later.

#MastoBlaster has its own #Fediverse account - powered by #snac@joel @mastoblaster I think I fixed it. Both notification relay side and app side. I'll publish an updated beta (with other fixes, too) later today.

A 179 Euro purchase in 2010 seemed like a splurge. 16 years later, that appliance has survived moves, earthquakes, and snowstorms, becoming a silent witness to my life's changes.

#MastoBlaster has its own #Fediverse account - powered by #snac@joel @mastoblaster Yes, I guess there's something wrong here. I'm going to install a GoToSocial instance and test it with debug mode on.
I had a new build ready for deployment, but I'll try to fix this first.Thank you for your feedback!

Buongiorno and good morning 🌄@peterkotrcka it’s foggy, here. This means it’ll likely be sunny later today.

#MastoBlaster has its own #Fediverse account - powered by #snac@Zoufalec @mastoblaster @napierge Thank you for your feedback! The multi-account feature should be working correctly, but I will do some extra checks on my end. As for the rest, this is the very first beta of a new app, and the TestFlight phase is meant exactly for this: to help development and fix things that aren't working yet.
I'm taking note of your comments and will work to improve everything. -

The path is dark, with a few splashes of color.@EF To be honest, I haven't followed them. It was more related to personal situations and today's (good) mood 🙂

Hrmm due to filling up my database allocation I have had to increase my Masto@david @bloor @gyptazy @grunfink unfortunately, you can't (easily) migrate media/old toots. There are some external tools that can help with it, but I've never tried them. You can move your followers/followings.
Mastodon isn't that heavy - but media storage can become huge. snac won't download and reprocess all the media files (so it's light) and can give a good experience. It's not a fully featured Mastodon experience but...hey, it's not Mastodon 😉
You can also consider other solutions like GoToSocial. It has a more complete Mastodon API implementation as it has no native web interface (you can use all the web ones like Phanpy, elk, nicolium, etc)

@stefano@ajlewis2 I've started with it 30 years ago, no books. Just experience. One step after another. Maybe there are better - and more effective - ways. But now, I search for specific things online and re-elaborate them. So, unfortunately, I don't think I can recommend something - or, at least, something specific. But I'll boost your post, hoping the Fediverse will come with some suggestions
