@jalefkowit that's the problem with government surplus auctions. I ended up with two police cars, kind of on accident. I put in a silly low bid early in the auction on a Charger that happened to win, I think because it was mislabeled as a 2008 when it was actually a 2013, and it was misbehaving because of a shorting battery.

That said, it still wasn't a great investment, as a Dodge is going to have problems all the time. That's part of the deal when you buy a Dodge, especially an abused Dodge.

@InternetEh yep, coyotes will chase anything small enough and slow enough. They're opportunistic and omnivorous. If they're in an area with roadrunners, they're definitely chasing roadrunners.

@sennoma @NickGates @StevenSavage you don't want to drive a long commute there, but if there's a transit option (Caltrain is great), it's not intolerable to be a pretty good ways out from the job. Train time can be useful/pleasant time, unlike driving during rush hour which is all wasted time and stressful.

@sennoma you'll never own a house at that salary, but you can live OK, as long as you don't mind a bit of a commute (hopefully you can rent and work near a Caltrain stop).

@amin it's really nice, and it's a forgiving non-stressful recipe. Takes a while for all the baking steps, but most steps are independent and don't require a lot of attention. It's hard to mess up. And, it's impressed just about everybody I've ever served it to. It punches far above its weight in terms of impressiveness to difficulty. You can even use canned enchilada sauce if you're in a hurry, it turns out fine.

@amin as with all Mexican and Tex-Mex food, sprinkle on some chopped cilantro and spritz with lime juice, and serve with rice and refried beans or black beans. Avocado or guacamole never hurts the situation.

You can add spices to the sweet potatoes, if you like, but if you bake or roast the potatoes with olive oil and salt, they'll be quite rich.

@amin one of my "impress non-vegetarians" recipes is sweet potato and pecan enchiladas. Mothers Cafe in Austin (a famous, but now-closed vegetarian restaurant) served it seasonally. I never had a written down recipe, but it's just roasted/baked sweet potatoes with pecan pieces mashed in, wrapped in corn tortillas, covered in enchilada sauce and either cashew cream or some white Mexican or jack cheese (cashew cream is better here, honestly, even if you're not vegan), bake.

Ah, but getting the Zig language server working turned tab completions back on, somehow. Jebus. This edit to `keymap.json` seems to have fixed that:

This may be made more complicated and insane by me using vim mode in Zed, I dunno.

@genehack yeah, I could tolerate shell-like tab completion, where it's obvious I'm intending to get an unambiguous completion and a double-tab pops a completions menu. Zed, which is what I'm currently trying to use, defaults to tab instantly completing, and I suppose it must be possible to undo it with backspace or something, but it's super disorienting. I feel a lot of anxiety over stuff like that, it's like, "No that's wrong, what are you doing!? Stop doing wrong things, you're ruining it!"
