@julian I’m glad that you are not affected by them. I don’t evaluate the fediverse in terms of what is more or less crappy. I evaulate what aspects adversely affect my experience as a user and consider if the overall benefits outweigh the negatives. Those bots make me more reluctant to post and be an active user, but they are not the only problem.

@nelfan Yeah, it's so much easier to get started if you don't have to build a whole backend for your app.But I do also wonder how popular these apps are. Honestly, the fact that so few people care about "the protocol" and just hang out where people they care about are gives me a lot of hope for the fediverse.We just have to be ready when the VC money finally runs out.

It includes: A 3d feature graph for fediverse platforms Aggregated and fully searchable user stats graph/table Fediverse Enhancement Proposal tracker to improve visibility and tracking of fediverse feature development Links to various fediverse resources. I once encountered an ad on Facebook which was advertising guns. Seller was shipping world-wide with no signs of any compliance. Even under US law, this operation was clearly illegal.I reported the ad to Facebook and Fb played stupid. They wanted a URL for the ad. The ad was appearing right next to my time line (https://facebok.com/).I reported the case to several (~5) police authorities but none responded.Only the payment processor (stripe) took action.@haubles
