Hi Mastodon! I'm looking to migrate to a new instance from .social in an effort to strengthen the fediverse (through growing diverse instances) and hopefully build my community here. Some folks I follow like @mycrowgirl are on flipping.rocks. I don’t know what main focus of that instance is — just that people I follow there are cool and seen adjacent to your interests.

But that's a bit more specific than Southern California and may not apply to you.

@magpieluvseeds I'm on social.coop which has a focus on cooperative organising, has volunteer mods and admins and votes on decision making. It has a $12 monthly membership fee for server space and software costs
