An eSIM was recommended to a friend who's travelling to Japan. Her phone isn’t eSIM-compatible, though. Does anyone with local knowledge know if she’d even need a SIM there just for a short trip? I imagine Japanese WiFi to be tip-top in trains, hotels, cafés. But then again, I imagined German WiFi would be tip-top better than Danish WiFi until that time our DSB train crossed the border and Deutsche Bahn immediately turned off the WiFi. So instead of assuming, I will #AskFedi, please #Japan

I am looking to move my videos to peertube, and don't think I am up to running my own instance.I will be posting largely painting and embroidery, and I would like an instance with active owner/mods.Suggestions and/or boosts welcome, if you are happy doing so.#PeerTube #AskFedi

Still having troubles with my Slackware installation using OpenBSD's vmm(4).Everything goes great until it's time to install LILO to the MBR of the virtual drive. I then get an error that it can't find "raid:'/dev/sda1'" (or something of that nature). I'm thinking it has something to do with Slackware wanting to see the virtual drive using RAID and not AHCI, but as far as I know, I haven't seen anything in my UEFI firmware settings to indicate that the host drive is configured in that way.To those who've run Slackware with vmm(4), have you been able to get it installed and running? Could use your help. #AskFedi #RunBSD
