@bardnet@xkcd which means they've also missed that it's a horror movie and that the main character had likely spent a minimum of 30 years subjective time in that loop, possibly much more.
@mcc@rachelplusplus IIRC some Samsung laptops could get bricked by writing too much data to the EFI variable area (which easily happened with Linux kernel crashes, but could also happen from Windows).
Is there any way to access my files if I can't login as myself? My standard login suddenly gives me a flashing, crazy screen with no interaction except a moving cursor. But I can still login from a USB as a live session user, so I wondered if I could get to those files from there. I've been trying to use su - in the terminal but it doesn't recognize my actual username. I really need to rescue some files from this computer. Any tips are appreciated.#BodhiLinux #AskFedi #Linux #Ubuntu
Using #Unbound over #DoT (DNS over TLS) as a local DNS resolver. Example setup on #Debian - of course not limited to #Debian - any distro or #BSD will do! 😎 #linux #unbound #foss #ubuntu https://jhx7.de/blog/using-unbound/
@marcelcosta @ruud the ease of use and peace of mind are just priceless...(2FA AND recovery codes not working were the final nail in the coffin for my self-hosted Sharkey)
